We will start with subtle movements to open and energise your body, followed by seated and supine breathing exercises before finishing with the sounds of a handmade medicine drum as we create a state of bliss for ourselves. Leave feeling empowered with a greater understanding of how you can use your breath as a centring tool in your everyday. No experience is necessary for this session.

Qi Gong
14:45 - 15:45
John McInerney

Qi is the Chinese word for the ‘life’ or ‘vital energy’ that flows through everything. Gong means “work” or “skill” or benefits acquired through perseverance and practice. Together the two words mean ‘Skill or mastery of working with vital energy’ – this is the cultivating and accumulating of an abundant energy flow through practice. Through study, the individual aims to develop the ability to manipulate Qi in order to promote self-healing, prevent disease, and increase longevity. I like to call it medication in motion.
